On an AR website, we find this jewell:
Received anonymously by activists in the UK:
"A 'necklace' of empty shotgun cartridges was made - each containing a letter and when strung together it touchingly spelled out SIMON TURNER of Park Road, Barton- Needwood, Burton UK! A live cartridge with "One of Two!" written on was then attached to a brick and with a mass of soon to explode fireworks everything was deposited on Turner's driveway in the darkness recently. The message is clear: you murder animals for a living - you deserve everything you get! ALF"
Who is Simon Turner? Well, he happens to be one of the employees of the Hall family, a family that raises Guinea Pigs for research. Readers of AC will recall the living hell the Halls, their employees, and the entire community of Staffordshire have endured (link, link).
The author's threats may be pure crackpot stuff, but you can't be sure, and the note is nothing if not a strongly implied death threat. After all, for AR Holy Warriors given to violence, an attempt on a life is certainly the next logical step once they've declared a person to be a murderer.
Certainly, Mr. Turner can't be sure that the terrorist won't try to cap him, given what AR extremists have already done the people of Staffordshire.
Regardless of whether or not the threat is acted upon, it is still naked intimidation. It is yet another example at how free the AR extremists feel to bully, coerce and intimidate for a greater good of their own peculiar definition.
Thanks to David S for the tip.
